Nepal is lagging behind since many years and still is in transition phase. We have listed out 7 main reasons for the main problem in Nepal which hinders the development and progress of the country.

Why Nepal is not Developed?

1)WE BLAME POLITICIANS ONLY,NOT OUR SELF : आफुले नै चुनेर पठाको मानिसलाई गाली गर्नु हुन्छ भने किन vote हाल्नु भाको ?…भोलि चुनाब हुदा फेरी तेही चिन्नमा vote किन हाल्नु हुन्छ ?
2)EDUCATION SYSTEM :The present education system doesn’t encourage student to be creative. No CREATIVITY makes mentally unhealthy. So,our education system is creating citizens who are mentally unhealthy. We are creating PATIENTS who need help.

3)PEOPLE DON’T ENCOURAGE GOOD THING :Good things need to be encouraged and bad things to be penalized. We don’t have a habit to say ‘WOW’ to good things.Lets have a habit of encouraging and sharing good things.
4)SHORT TERM VISION OVERSHADOWS LONG TERM VISION :People are in hurry to get results of the work they do too quick. They want easy money, easy reputation. On the long run this has crippled nation.Anyhow पैसा कमाऊ vision seems to be deep-rooted in people’s mind.
5)LAZY/भै हाल्छ नि ATTITUDE :Comparatively,people from Nepal are a bit lazy.In Europe people work up to 18 hours/day.We don’t work that hard.Most of don’t care what is actually happening in country’s politics saying भै हाल्छ नि.This country is a accumulation of several भै हाल्छ नि attitude people.
6)WE HAVEN’T COME ABOVE OUR SELF :We care about our problem, and at most care about our relatives problem. But we don’t care about the problem that is common problem to all.
7) Dependency on parents and spoon feeding to children.

The School Leaving Certificate Examination is in the verge of being modeled in a grading system. There have been lots of talks and plans to reform SLC at times. Some were brought to actions while some failed. Recently, the concerned bodies have come with a proposition of introducing grading system. They supposedly explain this system as an effective one as there shan’t be percentage and no one shall be marked fail. But stakeholders and other concerned bodies still have some questions.
They believe that, following traditional examination pattern and using new grading system to produce result shan’t work together. Should there be transformation in ways of examination too, the new grading system shall be acceptable. They have criticized the proposition of Ministry of Education and Examination Controllers Office. So, how do you take this new grading system? If we go sometime back, there were some propositions of merging 11 and 12 as high schools too but it didn’t come to action.
So, as per your view, are students going to be benefited with this new grading system? Just give us your views. Any insights are welcome.  There mightn’t be percentage but still the grades appearing on the result sheet could make difference. After all, who would accept the ones with D, E or Fs. With failure, they might get another chance to bring good marks but with grades, they shan’t get another chance. Isn’t it? There are advantages as well as disadvantages. Just have your say!!!
Acid Attack Incident NepalWho wouldn’t be shocked by the news of two schoolgirls being attacked with acid in Kathmandu yesterday? The news as reported by the BBC and AFP stated that two teenage schoolgirls – Sangita Magar, 16, and Sima Basnet, 15 were admitted to a hospital in Kathmandu with burn injuries after a masked boy attacked them using bottle of acid. The schoolgirls were waiting for their classmates at a coaching centre in Kathmandu.
Watch the video below of one of the victims Sima Basnet speaking about the incident.

Acid attack incidents are common in neighbouring country India and also reported frequently in the Terai region of Nepal. The fact that people watch Indian incidents in form of reality shows / investigation shows could have easily inspired to copy such acts. While India has strict laws for such cases, Nepal has yet to come up with specific laws addressing such incidents.
Although the reason for this particular attack is yet to be revealed, the motive is likely to have involved some form of revenge. Reportedly, acid attacks are common form of revenge bid in south Asian countries.

The incident should be seriously condemned and intensive investigations should be carried forward to search for the culprit and punish him appropriately. Steps should indeed be taken to discourage such incidents in the future. In addition, appropriate laws on who can sell and purchase the acid can restrict the easy availability, thus helping to prevent future incidents.
